VT3000 - System Reinstall - Remote RS-232 Serial Coordinator Setup

Overview A Coordinator is used to communicate with VersaCall Mesh Devices. This guide will show how to configure an RS-232 Serial Coordinator in the VT3000 Software. These instructions should only be used when the user is Moving/Reinstalling the VT3000 Software onto a New Computer/Server and the RS-232 Serial Coordinator is already installed.

Requirements See Requirements Here 1. The Current VT3000 Core Software installed and running on your system. 2. VersaCall Computer/Server plugged into your network via Ethernet connection. 3. RS-232 Serial Device with DHCP Address/Static IP Address previously setup/assigned. 4. Know the IP Address of the Serial Device - needed in the steps below.

Step 1. Go to the VersaCall Computer - open the VT3000 home page - select Administration – System Settings – Service.

Step 2. Select the Coordinator tab – select the add “+” icon.

Step 3. Use the setting below. NOTE: Enter the IP Address of your Coordinator in the Address field NOT the one shown in the example image.

Step 4. Select the Save & Exit button.

Step 5. Select Yes on the Restart warning message.

Step 6. Restart the VersaCall Service - Click here for Instructions.

Step 7. From the Home screen select Diagnostics – Device Status.

Step 8. The Coordinator will show red, this is normal as it can take up to 30 seconds for the system to establish a connection with the device.

Step 9. Once the refresh is completed the Coordinator will show in black - installation is complete.
