VT3000 - Install Phone Modem

Overview
The instructions below cover installing a phone modem on a new computer that was NOT provided by VersaCall. Our phone modem needs to connects to a USB port on the computer/server. An analog phone line is required for the installation - contact IT if you do not currently have a line available.


Requirements

1. The VT3000 Core Software installed and running on your system.
2. Available USB Port on the VersaCall computer/server.
3. Analog Phone line jack. This port will need to be setup by your IT Department on your phone system.


Hardware Components
Modem
USB Cable
Phone Cord
Install CD

Step 1.
Place the install CD into the CD Drive - contact VersaCall Support to get a zip file if you have no CD Drive.

Step 2.
For a Zip File - extract all files - double click on the Install.exe file in the extracted folder.

Step 3.
Select to read the End User License Agreement.

Step 4.
Check the box that you have read the license agreement - click on the Install button.

Step 5.
Enter your Area Code in the Location Information window - select OK button.

Step 6.
Verify the area code is correct - select the OK button.

Select the OK button.

Step 8.
Reboot the VersaCall Computer. Once the Computer has rebooted, turn it off/power off the computer. Plug the USB Cable into the Phone Modem.

Step 9.
Plug the USB Cable into an open port on the VersaCall Computer/Server.

Step 10.
Plug the analog phone line into the Line connector.

Step 11.
Reboot/Turn On the VersaCall Computer. Once the computer is powered, the LED for Power on the Modem should be solid red.

Step 12.
Open the VT3000 web interface - select Core Software - Administration - System Settings - Service.

Step 13.
Select the General tab.

Step 14.
In the Voice section - select the down arrow for the Text-to-Speech field.

Step 15.
Select one of the voices from the list.

Step 16.
Select Save & Exit.

Step 17.
Select Yes on the Restart warning message. This must be done to complete the setup.

19. Restart the VersaCall Service - Click here for Instructions.
