When a VersaCall Technician is assisting you with an issue they may ask for a Log File. These files contain information that will help with determining the problem.

1. Open the VT3000 web interface – log in with your user name and password – select Diagnostics – select Logs from the diagnostics page.

2. When the Logs page loads you will see a screen similar to the one below.

a. VersaCall Logs – this is selected by default, select this option to see logs concerning the VersaCall system. b. System Logs – select this option to see logs concerning the system. c. Log File – the name of the current log being viewed will show in this field. Use the down arrow on the right to select a different log file.

3. In addition to the fields explained above there are icons on the page that represent different features.

a. At the top right side of the page: i. When this icon is faded, the selected log is refreshing every 15 seconds ii. When this icon is faded, the selected log is not refreshing. iii. Manually refresh the page showing the latest information recorded in the log. iv. Select this icon to download a zip file of all current logs. v. Select his icon to send a zip file of all current logs directly to VersaCall. b. To the right side of the Log File field: i. Select this icon to delete the selected log file. ii. Select this icon to download a copy of the selected log file.

4. If you select to download the selected log file, a popup will show at the bottom of the page – click on the Save button. The file will save in the same location as all other downloaded files.

5. If you select to download all of the current log files, the popup will be the same except it will list “VT3000Logs.zip” as the file name. The procedure to save is the same as above.

6. If you select to send the log files through the email icon, there will be no pop up. A message will appear after the email has been sent specifying if it was successful or not.

Follow the instructions given by the technician on how to get the log files to us the best way.
