If for any reason the settings on your control unit change and you cannot access the Web Interface from other computer through the IP address, you will need to change the Windows Firewall settings. This can happen if you have upgraded the computer or restored the system to a previous setting.

1. Click on the Windows Start button – click on Control Panel.

2. From the Control Panel click on the Windows Firewall icon or click on the System and Security category then click on the Windows Firewall icon.

3. There are 2 methods available that will work to restore the Web Interface. One is to completely disable the Windows Firewall. If the VersaCall system is not communicating with the World Wide Web then this a good option. If the VersaCall system has access to the Web then you will want to use the option Allow a feature through the Firewall.

Disabling the Windows Firewall:

1. From the Windows Firewall page click on the “Turn Windows Firewall on or off” option on the left side of the screen.

2. There will be a section for each type of network shown. Select the Turn Off Windows Firewall option for each type of network. Click on the OK button.

3. You will be returned to the Windows Firewall page showing the Firewall as disabled. Close all windows and use the IP address on a separate computer to log in to the VT2000 Web Interface.

Allowing a Program Through the Windows Firewall:

1. From the Windows Firewall page click on the “Allow program or feature through Windows Firewall” option.

2. Click on the Change Settings button – scroll down to the bottom of the list until you see World Wide Web Services (HTTP) – click on the box next to this feature to place a check mark in it – go over to the right where the different types of networks are listed and click in each box to place a check mark in them – click on the OK button.

3. You will be returned to the Windows Firewall page – close all windows to return to your desktop – use the IP address on a separate computer to log in to the VT3000 Home Page.
