The Virtual Client is a program used on a separate PC that allows the user to interact with PC Call Stations, PC Input Modules and PC BSC Modules. NOTE: the PC that you will be loading the Virtual Client on must be on the same Network as the VersaCall computer/server.

==

1. Open the VT3000 web interface – select VT3000 - log in – select Configuration – select Devices.

2. Click on the "Download Virtual Client" link.

3. Select Save As from the Windows prompt.

4. Select to save to the Desktop - select Save button.

5. Go to your Desktop and you will see that the Virtual Device Client installer has been downloaded. You will need this file to install the client on any PC that you want to have access to the PC Call Stations or PC Input Modules that you have setup in the VT3000 software. We suggest copying this file onto a removable media of some type.

6. After you place the installer on the computer you wish to install it on simply double click on the file. The first window is a Welcome message – click on the Next button.

7. The next window shows the location of the folder that the program will install to and ask if you want the program to be available to all users or just the one currently logged in. Once you have made your selection click on the Next button.

8. The next window is a confirmation screen – click on the Next button.

9. If you get a security message asking if you want to allow the program to install – click on the Yes or Allow button (depending on your operating system).

10. The final window is an Installation Complete screen – click on the Close button.

11. Return to your Desktop and you will see an icon for Virtual Device Client – double click the icon to launch the program.

12. When the Virtual Device Client window appears press the Ctrl button on your keyboard. You will see a menu bar appear in the top left corner – click on File.

13. From the File Menu click on Settings.

14. Enter in the IP address of the VT3000 computer in the field provided – click on the Save button.

15. When you get back to the Virtual Device Client screen a list of PC Call Stations and PC Input Modules will populate – click on the device you want to use so that it is highlighted – click on the Use button at the bottom of the window.

16. Your module will look like the screen shots below.

17. There are a few settings available on the client – click on View from the menu bar in the top left corner of the window.

18. Below is an explanation of each option in the menu:

a. Fullscreen – selecting this option will make the Client (call station or input module) take up the entire monitor. b. Always On Top – selecting this option will make the Client (call station or input module) stay at the front or on top of any other windows that are opened on the monitor. c. Hide Menu Bar – this will remove the menu bar in the top left corner of the window (File, View, Help). d. Refresh – this will simply refresh the client to the condition on Active Information on the VT3000 software. If you were to manually clear and alarm in the VT3000 software you would want to use refresh to ensure the client gets the update to clear the alarm.

19. The last option is Help – this will only give you an “About” option. When this is selected you will see a window showing the version of the client and VersaCall contact information.
