Before using this guide, you will need to have a PSM, TIM, BSC or Call Station configured with alarms or a process (TIM, BSC & PSM only). You will also need to have a wireless light device setup and configured. All of the devices need to be powered and showing on the Device Status screen.

1. Click on the Configuration icon on the Main menu – click on Devices icon on the Configuration menu.

2. Select any device that has alarms set up in the configuration - click on the Edit button.

3. Click on the Monitoring Points tab.

4. Lights can be setup for a Process or for an Alarm. For this example, we will use an Alarm, select the alarm from the root.

5. The alarm properties section will show to the right – click on the Actions tab.

6. There are multiple icons available in the Actions tool box. All icons will be enabled when multiple actions are created. An explanation of each icon is below.

- select this icon to add a new action.
- select this icon to delete an action.
- select this icon to duplicate an action.
- select this option to copy an action to the clipboard.
- select this option to paste an action from the clipboard.
- use the arrows to move actions up or down in the list.

7. Click on the add icon to create a new action.

8. The Actions property window will show on the screen to the right of the list – below is an explanation of all the options.

a. State – select the state of the alarm/button for the action (Set, Acknowledge or Clear). b. Type – there are 3 options available: i. Modify Discrete Output – this is used to turn on a light attached to the device being configured. ii. Modify Discrete Output on Another Device – this is used to turn on a light attached to another device. iii. Execute Task – this is for custom configurations – call VersaCall for assistance. c. Action – select what the light will do for the state selected (Turn On, Turn Off or Blink). d. Device – use the down arrow to select a wireless light module or other device. e. Output – select the output that you want to manipulate. Depending on how you set up the wireless light the name of the outputs can vary from out example.

9. Below is an example of a typical light setup for a Tri-State Alarm.

10. Repeat the same process for each alarm or process the device has or needs to be setup. The complete Actions list will look like the example below.

11. Once all actions have been created click on the Save & Exit button.

12. Go to Diagnostics then Device Status.

13. Find the device that was just edited in the steps above - click on the Update link next to the module name.
