After setting up an Email Address in Outputs and configuring the SMTP settings, you will want to test the system to ensure an email is sent and received. This will help you to identify if there is an error with the email address or if the SMTP configuration is incorrect. NOTE: Ensure you have the control unit connected to your LAN and that you have setup the SMTP server.

1. Open the VT3000 web interface – log in with your username and password – select Communications from the main menu.

2. On the Communications page – select Outputs - click on the down arrow for the Destination Type field and select Email Address.

3. Select the email address that you wish to test by clicking on it so that it is highlighted.

4. Enter a message to be sent to the email address in the Message field – click on the Send button.

5. Check the inbox of the email address you selected – if no email is delivered double check the email address for errors in Outputs and check the SMTP server settings.

6. Repeat the steps and send another test message. If you still have issues contact VersaCall Support.
