VT3000 - Test - Email Address

  GENERAL INFORMATION

  • Once an Email Address has been added to the system, it can be tested to ensure the setup is correct.
  • The SMTP server must be configured before a test message can be sent.
  • If the SMTP server has not been setup, Click Here for instructions or contact VersaCall for further assistance.


  REQUIREMENTS

  • The VT3000 Core Software installed and running on your system.
  • SMTP (Email Server) settings configured and working in VT3000 Core.
  • Email Address setup as an Output.
  • Permission to Send a Communication.

  INSTRUCTIONS

Open the VT3000 web interface – select VT3000 Core Software - log in – select Communications.

Select Email Address in the Destination Type field.

Select the Email Address from the list so that it is highlighted.

Enter a Test Message in the Message field.
Select the Send button.

Check the Inbox of the Email Address that was selected in the previous step.
If the Test Message was NOT received, double check the Output Setup.
Check another Cell Phone or Email that you know is working correctly.
Check the SMTP Setup with your IT Department to ensure it is correct.
If no messages are being sent out to Cell Phones or Email Addresses, contact VersaCall for assistance.
