Overview

An I/O module is part of a PSM & TIM, the Switch Contact Module is an IO module without a touch screen interface. All these can receive wired contacts from outside sources. This guide explains how to setup the contact as an alarm that would trigger an alarm in the VT3000 system. In order for this input to work properly, you will need to have a wired contact from the other source connected to the I/O module. For more information on wired contacts see the How To Guide on Wiring Inputs.

Instructions

1. Open the VT3000 software – login with your username and password – click on the Configuration icon on the home page – click on the Devices icon on the configuration page.

2. On the Devices page either click on the PSM or TIM icon from the Add New menu or select an existing device and click on the Edit button.

3. Click on the Discrete Inputs tab.

    d. On Delay – enter a time in milliseconds to create a delay when the contact is turned on.
    e. Off Delay – enter a time in milliseconds to create a delay when the contact is turned off.
