VPIV Configuration Property Tag

General Information

• This tag is used to obtain internal database ID's.
• These are generally used in custom Tag configurations.

Basic Functionality

• After selecting to add a Number of Incidents tag, the user will see the following Window:

• 

• Name – enter a name.
• Functionality – select Configuration Property.
• Property - select one of the 6 Internal Configuration Properties from the list. Options include the following:

• Device ID - provides the database ID for the Device Configuration for the selected Device.
• Device Structure ID - provides the database ID for the Device Structure for the selected Device and Monitoring Point.
• Alarm ID - provides the database ID for the selected Device and Alarm.
• Data Field ID - provides the database ID for the selected Device and Data Field.
• Process ID - provides the database ID for the selected Device and Process.
• Sampler ID - provides the database ID for the selected Device and Sampler.

Example - Device ID

• Provides the database ID for the Device Configuration for the selected Device.

• Property - select Device ID.
• Data Source - select Device.
• Device - select the appropriate Device Configuration from the list.
• Result - integer is the only option available.

Example - Device Structure

• Provides the database ID for the Device Structure for the selected Device and Monitoring Point.

• 

• Property - select Device Structure ID.
• Data Source - Monitoring Point is the only option available.
• Device - select the appropriate Device Configuration from the list.
• Monitoring Point - select the appropriate Monitoring Point from the list.
• Result - integer is the only option available.

Example - Alarm ID

• Provides the database ID for the selected Device and Alarm.

• Property - select Alarm ID.
• Data Source - Monitoring Point is the only option available.
• Device - select the appropriate Device Configuration from the list.
• Alarm - select the appropriate Alarm from the list.
• Result - integer is the only option available.

Example - Data Field ID

• Provides the database ID for the selected Device and Data Field.

• Property - select Data Field ID.
• Data Source - Monitoring Point is the only option available.
• Device - select the appropriate Device Configuration from the list.
• Data Field - select the appropriate Data Field from the list.
• Result - integer is the only option available.

Example - Process ID

• Provides the database ID for the selected Device and Process.

• 

• Property - select Process ID.
• Data Source - Monitoring Point is the only option available.
• Device - select the appropriate Device Configuration from the list.
• Process - select the appropriate Process from the list.
• Result - integer is the only option available.

Example - Sampler ID

• Provides the database ID for the selected Device and Sampler.

• 

• Property - select Sampler ID.
• Data Source - Monitoring Point is the only option available.
• Device - select the appropriate Device Configuration from the list.
• Process - select the appropriate Sampler from the list.
• Result - integer is the only option available.
