VT3000 - Using Phone Modem and Radio Module Together

Overview
If you are using a Phone Modem for voice calls playing audio messages and a 2-Way Radio module playing audio messages, there is a specific way to set this up. When this is setup incorrectly no audio is played over the 2-Way Radio channel.

1. The VT3000 Core Software installed and running on your system.
2. Phone Modem installed and plugged into the system. Click Here for Phone Modem installation instructions.
3. 2-Way Radio installed and plugged into the system.Click Here for 2-Way Radio Module installation instructions.
4. Direct access to the Windows OS on the Computer/Server that has the VersaCall Software installed.

Step 1.
In Windows open the Control Panel. This can be found on the Windows Start menu or by doing a search in Windows.

Step 2.
Select Sound in the Control Panel.

Step 3.
Select the Playback tab - your screen should look similar to the image below. The default speaker is set to the Hi-Phone modem.

Step 4.
Click on the Digital Output option so it is highlighted - right click on Digital Output - select Set as Default Device from the options.

Step 5.
The menu will now show your Digital Output as the default device - select OK.

Step 6.
Return to VT3000 and test both outputs. Click Here for instructions on testing the phone number. Click Here for instructions on testing a radio channel.
