A Selection List is created when you need to select an item for a data field on the PSM. An example would be that you have a Parts Needed Alarm and want to select the part needed. You would create a list of the parts.

1. Open the VT3000 web interface – log in with your username and password – click on the Configuration icon on the home page – click on the Shared Lists icon on the configuration page.

2. On the Shared Lists page - click on the Add button to create a new list.

3. There are 2 tabs on the Edit Shared List page, the first is Properties.

a. ID – this is created by the VT3000 software.

b. Name – enter a name for the list that you can recognize when setting up a module.

4. The second tab is Items – this is where you will set up the individual items that will appear on the list. Click on the Add or Plus icon to add a new item to the list.

*A Sahred List is a collection of Items.
5. An item list will appear once a new item is created. To the right of the list is the fields that will be used to set up the item.
*A Shared List can be assigned to any Device.
 
*Having 1 Shared List for Multiple Devices allows the user to maintain the list easily.
a. Name – enter the name for the item as you want it to appear on a module.
*A Shared List must have 1 or more items added to it.
b. Value – if the check box is left unmarked the value field will be exactly the same as the Name field. If you need to have a different value than name just make the box and enter the value. The data entered in the Value field is what will show on reports and panel.

6. To add an additional item, click on the add or plus icon.

7. Once there are items in the list, all the editing icons will be enabled. Use these icons to delete, copy and move items in the list.

8. When all items have been added to the list click on the Save & Exit button to save the list or Discard & Exit to delete all items.

  • A Sahred List is a collection of Items.
  • A Shared List can be assigned to any Device.
  • Having 1 Shared List for Multiple Devices allows the user to maintain the list easily.
  • A Shared List must have 1 or more items added to it.

  • Permission to Add or Edit Shared Lists.

Step 1
Open the VT3000 web interface – select VT3000 Core Software - log in – select Configuration – select Shared Lists.

Step 2
Select Add to create a New Shared List. Select an existing Shared List then select Edit to change it.

Step 3
By default, the Properties tab will load - the following options are available:

  • ID - created by the VT3000 software.
  • Name - enter a name for the Shared List that can be easily recognized when setting up a Data Field on a Device.

Select the Items tab.

Step 5
Select the Add Item icon.

Step 6
An Item will be added to the Items List. To the right side of the list, the Item Properties will be shown - the following options are available:

  • 3112 6.png
  • Name - enter the name/description of the Item. This Name/Description is what the User will see on the Device.
  • Value - if the box is unchecked, the value will be a duplicate of the Name. To record a different value than the Name in the database, check the value box and enter a Name/Value. The information entered into Value will show on all reports, but NOT to the Device.
