There are 3 groups that the tags fit into '''Time Related, Non-Time Related and System'''. Tags in the time related group will only collect data during a designated time. A non-time related tag will collect data at all times. A system tag is a pre-configured property.

Overview
Tags are placeholders for data that are inserted into cells on panel(s). These tags can be customized to retrieve data from the VT3000 system based on a specific device or monitoring point. The user can also create data based on formulas. Tag creation is the same for both Widgets and Panels.

DetailHeader.png

Types of Tags
Constant - used to establish a constant number or text that can be used in a cell or formula.
State – used to determine the state a specific monitoring point (Active, Inactive or Acknowledged).
Duration – used to get a duration of time that a monitoring point has been active.
Number of Incidents – used to get a total number of occurrences for a monitoring point.
Formula – used to create a calculation of any type.
Lookup – used to lookup data in a specific database. Connectivity software is required for this type of tag.
Count – used to gather a count from a sampler.
Data Field – used to obtain the data entered into a data field on a module.
System Property – there are multiple pre-configured properties in the software. Use this tag to obtain any of those properties.
Configuration Property - used to get a specific ID for a device or monitoring point.

Tag Groups
Time Related - only collect data during a designated time period.
Non-Time Related - will collect data at all times.
System - a pre-configured property or existing property.

Tag Naming
All created tags should be named using only Capital Letter & NO SPACES. Use an underscore for spacing. Failure to do this may cause errors on your panel.
Example - STATION1_DURATION
