Overview
A Paging Transmitter is used to send messages to individual Pagers. This guide will show how to install a NEW 20-62 paging transmitter being connected via USB.


Requirements

1. The Current VT3000 Core Software installed and running on your system. Software versions prior to 2022 will not have the driver loaded for the New 20-62 Paging Transmitter.
2. Open USB port on the VersaCall Computer/Server.
3. Paging Transmitter hardware.
4. One 110VAC outlet for power in the mounting location for the Paging Transmitter.
5. USB Windows Driver installer (CDM 21224). If you do not have this file, please contact VersaCall support and they will send you the zip file.
6. Fully install the USB Windows Driver prior to connecting the paging transmitter.
7. Direct Access (Physical or Remote PC) to the VersaCall Computer/Server.
8. Permission to install a program (Driver) on the VersaCall Computer/Server.

Step 1.
Ensure thhe CDM21224_Setup zip file has been unzipped on the VersaCall Computer/Server. Navigate to the location of the CDM21224_Setup folder location - double click the folder.

Step 2.
Double click on the CDM21224_Setup.exe file in the folder.

Step 3.
The first installation screen will ask for permision to Extract the driver files - select the Extract button.

Step 4.
The Welcome screen will load - select the Next button.

Step 5.
On the License Agreement screen select thee "I accept this agreement" option - select the Next button.

Step 6.
After a short install period the Complete screen will load - select the Finish button.

Step 7.
Connect the USB Cable to the available port on the side opposite of the antenna port.

Step 8.
Connect the green Power Cord connector to the available port - same side as USB Cable.

Step 9.
Screw on the Antenna to the available connector - opposite side as Ethernet & Power connnections.

Step 10.
Connect the Power Cable to an available Electrical Outlet.

Step 11.
Go to the VersaCall Computer - open the VT3000 home page - select Administration – System Settings – Service.

Step 12.
Select the Paging Transmitter tab – select the add “+” icon.

Step 13.
Use the settings below:

Enabled – click on the box to place a check mark – this will enable the device.
Description – enter any name for the transmitter.
Driver – select the Salcom 20-62 driver from the list.
Synchronization Code – leave this set to None.
Connection Method – select Serial from the list.
Port - select the "Silicon Labs CP210x" COM port shown in the list.




Step 14.
Select the Save & Exit button.

Step 15.
Select Yes on the Restart warning message. This must be done to complete the setup.

Step 16.
Restart the VersaCall Service - Click here for Instructions.

Test the Transmitter - Click here for Instructions.
