Overview
Alarms are setup for individual hardware devices in the Configuration section of the VT3000 Core Software. There are multiple types of Alarms:
Mono State
- Operator selects the button and it is automatically set & cleared.
Dual-State
- Operator selects the button once to Set the Alarm.
- Operator selects the button a second time to Clear the Alarm.
Dual-State with Reason on Clear
- Same operation as Dual State.
- The Operator will be given a list of Reasons when selecting to Clear the Alarm.
Tri-State
- Operator selects the button once to Set the Alarm.
- Operator selects the button a second time to Acknowledge.
- Operator selects the button a third time to Clear the Alarm.
Tri-State with Reason on Acknowledge
- Same operation as Tri-State.
- The Operator will be give a list of Reasons when selecting to Acknowledge the Alarm.
Tri-State with Reason on Clear
- Same operation as Tri-State.
- The Operator will be given a list of Reasons when selecting to Clear the Alarm.
Label
- Available on BSC, TIM & PSM Modules.
- Allows Alarms to be setup under a specific Group or Label.
Switch Contact - Dual-State
- Available on TIM, PSM & Switch Contact Modules.
- Alarm is linked to a wired input on the IO.
- When the input is on the Alarm will be Set.
- When the input is off the Alarm will be Cleared.
Switch Contact - Tri-State
- Available on TIM, PSM & Switch Contact Modules.
- Alarm is linked to a wired input on the IO.
- When the input is on the Alarm will be Set & the Operator will have a button to Respond.
- When the input is off the Alarm will be Cleared.
Switch Contact - Tri-State with Reason on Acknowledge
- Available on TIM, PSM & Switch Contact Modules.
- Alarm is linked to a wired input on the IO.
- When the input is on the Alarm will be Set & the Operator will have a button to Respond.
- On Responding, the Operator will be given a list of Reasons to select.
- When the input is off the Alarm will be Cleared.
