VT3000 - Add Alarm Label

Overview
There is a type of Alarm called a Label. This alarm is used as the parent or folder for other alarms that can be placed as children or inside it. A common example is if you have one device for multiple machines, you can make a Label named Machine 1 then place all the alarms inside of it. The touch screen would only show one button as Machine 1. You could repeat this for Machine 2, Machine 3 & Machine 4. This Alarm can only be setup on a BSC, TIM & PSM.

1. The VT3000 Core Software installed and running on your system.
2. A Coordinator must be setup, powered and communicating with the VT3000 Core Software.
3. Software PC BSC or PC Input Module - the plug in must be loaded in the VT3000 Core software and there must be at least one license remaining.
3. Hardware BSC, TIM or PSM - the device must be powered and communicating with the system.
4. When setting up Communication Paths, the Routes must be setup.
5. Names of what each button/alarm is to be called.

Step 1.
Open the VT3000 web interface – log in - select Configuration - select Devices.

Step 2.
Select the Device that you want to add the Alarm Label to from the list - select Edit.

Select the Monitoring Points tab.

Step 4.
Select the Add Alarm icon from the toolbox.

Setup is listed below along with screen shot.

Alarm ID - the VT3000 Software will assign this automatically.
Alarm Name - enter a name for the Alarm/Button.
Mode - select Label.




Step 6.
With the new Alarm selected in the Root, select the Add Alarm icon to add an Alarm that will place a call.

Step 7.
Setup for this alarm is the same as any other Dual or Tri-State alarm.

Step 8.
Once you have setup the Alarms, it will look similar to the image below. Select Save & Exit to save your changes.
